ABOUT US
Stamford Modern celebrates simplicity and the essence of contemporary design. Since 2011, we have helped interior designers, decorators, collectors, and design enthusiasts furnish beautiful spaces with exceptional furniture.
OUR FOUNDERS
Carlos and Mariela Solano established Stamford Modern in 2011 to elevate rare vintage designs with modern finishes. Carlos previously spent a decade working in the furniture industry – first for a high-end retailer in NYC and then for an antique dealer. Mariela saw potential in merging the two industries and created the Stamford Modern concept.
Today, Mariela uses her master’s degree in accounting to manage all of the financials. Carlos is our resident furniture designer and visionary. He leads the entire process of sourcing, purchasing, and restoring every item in our showroom.
EXCEEDING EXPECTATIONS
At Stamford Modern, we don’t simply source and sell vintage décor and furnishings – we elevate designs that transcend time. Enjoy white-glove service from start to finish, whether you’re purchasing for your own home or on behalf of a client.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Trends pass, but character is timeless. Whether the furniture is historic or a Stamford Modern original, it will always be beautifully crafted with iconic style.
There are no happenings yet.
