Chris Howard's Antiques and Modern is the premier dealer of authentic mid-century Danish furniture in Berkeley Ca. Specializing in mid 20th century handcrafted furniture with an emphasis on rare Scandinavian design and exotic wood furniture of the 1930's - 1960’s. Chris Howard has over 25 years experience in the furniture industry and oversees the conservation, quality control, and logistics of each item. We import vintage designer furniture on a regular basis, and continue the Scandinavian handcraft tradition locally with a team of top-notch craftsmen bringing new life to these timeless designs with period accurate finishing techniques. Custom upholstery options are available upon request. Clients can select from our vast collection of fabrics, and premium leathers, or send COM. Our full-time staff is constantly working to assure items are delivered in the best condition. Items are accurately photographed to show their true color and condition. We encourage you to visit the showroom and see firsthand the quality and volume of our inventory.
24-HOUR APPROVAL:
Locally, items can be taken on 24-hour approval to view prior to a client's commitment to the purchase. It is the clients responsibility to notify us within 24-hours if the items will be purchased or returned. Items should be returned next business day. If an item is delivered, and later declined, there is delivery and pick up fees.
WARRANTY: We offer no manufacturer warranty on items made 50+ years ago.
RETURNS: All sales are final. In the event an item received is materially different than described, a return can be initiated within 24 hours.
