Description
The fantasy that is so natural to 18th century Italian artists manifests itself in the charming device of the unexpected. Here the traditional fire-breathing dragon, spits flowers and garlands, supporting the C-scroll fir wood carvings and central finials. Each cartouche-shaped mirror plate is surmounted by a pierced C-scroll and dragon-carved cresting flanked by garlands of flowers continuing to a carved mask.
