Angelo Donghia
American, 1935 - 1985
Founder of Donghia, Inc., interior designer Angelo Donghia was born in Vandergrift, PA in 1935. He studied at Parson's School of Design and worked at Yale Burge Interiors. Donghia's design philosophy, inspired by Jean-Michel Frank, was a less is more approach. In 1978 he founded Donghia Furniture featuring a collection of made to order upholstered furniture sold exclusively to the trade industry.
