The Quarry Lamp

Description
The "Quarry" lamp is a collaboration between Martyn Thompson Studio and ceramic artist Dove Drury Hornbuckle. The design, with it's off kilter stack of crude shapes, combines Dove's haphazard aesthetic with the refined, bohemian spirit of Martyn Thompson Studio.
Dove has assembled the lamp by hand, piecing it together like a sculpture, before it was finished in our workroom - the lamp is UL certified. Each ceramic piece is uniquely cast and finished.
The lamp is crowned with a bespoke MTS tapestry shade, banded with vintage Fortuny fabric and features decorative hand stitched embroidery.
The studio has worked with a Fine Art Foundry in New York, who cast for Al Weiwei and Lynda Benglis, for the Bronze base. -
