Description
North Shore of New Hampshire and Massachusetts
ca. 1800-1815
Mahogany, birds-eye maple veneer, crotch mahogany veneer
Condition: Minor patches, some imperfections, otherwise in fine condition
The classical Federal form having a serpentine front with elliptic sides is embellished with bird's eye maple panels surrounded by mahogany veneer and binding. The rare blocked end top conforming to the case is supported by finely carved reeded turned legs. -
