Condition: Lined, very minor areas of in-painting in upper section of background. In a carved gilt frame.
Listed as an American artist, there is little known about Richard Howe. As a talented academic still-life painter, he stylistically shares similarities to other mid-19th century American artists, such as Severin Roesen (1815-1872), lived/active Pennsylvania. -
