Massimo Micheluzzi

Massimo Micheluzzi (1957-2009) was an Italian glass artist and designer. He was born in Venice, Italy, and studied at the Venini glass factory in Murano, where he worked for over 20 years. Micheluzzi was known for his unique approach to glass, which combined traditional Murano glass techniques with contemporary design principles.
 
Micheluzzi's work was characterized by its simplicity, elegance, and attention to detail. He often used a limited color palette, relying on the natural qualities of glass to create textures and patterns. Micheluzzi was also known for his innovative use of glass as a material, creating sculptural forms and installations that played with light and shadow.
 
In addition to his work as a glass artist, Micheluzzi was also a respected designer and teacher. He taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and exhibited his work in galleries and museums around the world. Micheluzzi passed away in 2009, leaving behind a legacy of beautiful and innovative glass art.
