Charles Addams

Charles Addams was an American cartoonist and humorist, best known for creating the macabre and darkly humorous Addams Family cartoons. He was born in Westfield, New Jersey in 1912, and began his career as a cartoonist in the 1930s, publishing his first work in The New Yorker magazine in 1932.
 
Addams' cartoons were characterized by their macabre humor, featuring eccentric characters such as the Addams Family, who were later turned into a popular television series and a series of films. His unique style and subject matter set him apart from other cartoonists of his time, and he quickly became a popular and influential figure in the world of cartooning.
