Description
Artist: Joaquin Pineiro
Born: Mexico City, Mexico.
Live and work in San Miguel de Allende
Medium: Oil and gold leaves on canvas
Title: Le Origen
Size: 50 x 50 x 2
Mexican artist Joaquin Pineiro creates 2D and 3D abstract-expressionism work that explores the balance between a conceived concept and expressive spontaneity.
This work entitled "Le Origen" probes the very nature of duality in gender, race, historical perception versus reality, permanency versus ephemerality. The surface of the painting controversially evokes a memory of a lost time and place that appears blurry and eroded yet still possesses an undeniable dignity and certainty. -
