Description
Fire Flowers - an impressive piece from Berlin; his flowers form a tribute celebrating hope and resilience . This painting is imbued with motion and meaning and uses the most subtle of brush strokes. There is a message here; from the desolating fire comes purifying sweet belief, beautiful yet brief, but life revives and blossoms again. A piece full of hope and beauty.
This is a work of love; Berlin has hand ground pigments from the rocks themselves; grinding the malachite & cadmium vermilion to create the sumptuous, rich colours of the offering table. This creating of paint by hand from bare materials is a special skill, and one of the many reasons that Berlin's paintings are unique and inspiring. -
