A rare suite of four Warren McArthur webbed armchairs from a Long Island New York estate.
Light weight anodized aluminum frames with original webbing distinguish these lounges.
This design was known as the tennis chair or Style No. 612 in the Warren McArthur catalog of 1936 and is laced in sail cloth webbing which is close to 80 years old and in very good condition with no breaks or tears. -

Documentation: Documented elsewhere (similar item) Origin: United States, Connecticut Period: 1920-1949 Materials: anodized aluminum tubing and fittings, rubber supports with cotton webbing Condition: Good. Scratches and some small worn places on the frames consistent with age. The original rubber donuts have oxidized and are hardened. The webbing is in good condition but is faded.
