Saridis of Athens

Greek, 1867

Rooted in a rich heritage that dates back to 1867, the craftsmanship tradition of Saridis was originally born in Constantinople (modern-day Istanbul) before making its mark in Athens. Officially established as Saridis S.A. in 1927, the company began its journey in a privately owned 10,000-square-meter facility, laying the foundation for what would become a renowned name in fine furniture making.

Saridis specializes in handcrafted furniture, created by skilled artisans with deep expertise in traditional joinery techniques. Each piece is meticulously crafted from exclusive original designs, with Saridis holding sole reproduction rights—ensuring that every item carries both authenticity and artistic integrity.

Among the most celebrated offerings from Saridis is the iconic collection of American designer T. H. Robsjohn-Gibbings, who reimagined ancient Greek furniture styles in the 1940s. These timeless designs continue to be produced with the same level of care and precision that defined the originals.

With a history marked by prestigious collaborations, international exhibitions, and features in prominent publications, Saridis remains a symbol of timeless elegance and masterful Greek craftsmanship.
