          Founded by Béatrice Saint-Laurent in 2010, Galerie BSL commissions and exhibits handcrafted innovative works that challenge the established borders of art and design, inspiring fantasy, poetry and wonder. One-offs or in very limited edition, these functional sculptures channel an experience, arouse one’s sensibility, and speak to the heart as much as to the intellect.
The artists and designers represented by Galerie BSL question the obvious and have their own intriguing universe. Wonder blossoms through an unexpected material; sparks from the dialogue between art and function; dawns from an imaginary world that is powerful and enchanting. Often it seems impossible to know how these works are made or what they are made of. This mystery around their creation, as much as their avant-garde aesthetic, confers soul and energy to what would otherwise be just a console, a seat, a lamp, or a table. Fantasy fuses with the object, creating a dreamy aesthetic, full of energy and imagination.
Galerie BSL represents Djim Berger, Gildas Berthelot, Nacho Carbonell, Taher Chemirik, Studio Cogitech, Charlotte Cornaton, Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, Carol Egan, Charles Kalpakian, Studio MVW, Pia Maria Raeder, Ayala Serfaty, and Faye Toogood. The gallery participates in international art and design fairs such as The Salon Art+Design in New York and PAD Pavilion of Arts+Design in London and Paris.
