Since launching his own firm in 2010, Nick has become known for creating comfortable interiors that nod to the past while maintaining a sense of humor and whimsy. He mixes antiques and modern artwork with signature élan, never one to shy from bold color, pattern, or an overscale gesture. He is thrilled to be included on the 2018 Elle Décor's A-List.

Having earned a degree in architecture from Columbia University, Nick Olsen shifted career paths after reading about decorator Miles Redd in a fashion magazine. Hired to assist Redd fresh out of college, he learned the business of design while transforming his own studio apartment with color, personal treasures and ingenuity. That space landed on the cover of Domino in 2006.
In addition to Domino his work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Veranda, House Beautiful, British Homes & Gardens, the Wall Street Journal, and Traditional Home. In August 2013 one of Nick’s first decorating projects made the cover of The World of Interiors. He currently resides in downtown Manhattan and keeps coffee table books as pets.
