Sven Ivar Dysthe

Sven Ivar Dysthe (1931-2021) was a Norwegian furniture designer known for his innovative and modern designs. He studied at the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry, and went on to establish his own design studio in Oslo in 1958.
 
Dysthe's designs were characterized by their sleek, minimalist forms and use of modern materials, such as steel and plastic. He was particularly known for his seating designs, including the "Laminette" and "Popcorn" chairs, which both won awards for their innovative design.
