    Exquisite table lamp with double gourd form glazed in the manner of a stylized radish or turnip, by Jean Besnard (1889-1958), with upper half glazed in a pale ivory with brushy purple shading at top and gray stipple below, and lower half in a ponderous purple, had-formed and glazed earthenware, France, 1940s, painted "JB" mark on underside / #JBE106
