Monumental Chinese green jade carved pagoda censer, late 19th century. A masterfully carved Chinese jade pagoda censer. The base of the tripod censer is set upon lion-headed paw feet. Two loose ring handles hang from the mouths of carved dragon heads. Surmounted atop of the censer base is a masterfully carved interlocking 7 tier pagoda with loose hanging bells throughout. The top tier culminating with a double gourd finial with loose ring in the center. The jade is very translucent. Provenance: From The Collection Of A Private Southern California Collector; Dimensions without base: 43" high x 18" wide x 12" deep. Good condition, normal wear consistent with age and use.
