This is a very hard to find perfume bottle presentation of a String of Pearls, circa 1920s, designed by Paul Heymann for Delettrez, Paris. Each hand blown pearlized glass flacon, with the exception of the two end pieces that still retain the original silk cord, is a miniature perfume vial. Six of the eleven pearl bottles are still sealed, although the contents have evaporated long ago. Please refer to the photos. The whimsical and trompe l'oeil design is meant to portray a graduated string of pearls! Delettrez was founded in 1835 and was known as "The Perfumers of High Society". The set of pearl bottles sit nestled in the original box which measures approximately 11.25 inches long. The center and largest of the flacons measures approximately 1 1/8'' in diameter. There is a very small area on top of the closed box where a bit of paper is missing. This is a must have addition for a serious Perfume Bottle Collection.
