Description
A San Francisco Art Institute graduate Julian Faulkner created this original hand built storage cabinet in his studio in 1996.
The cabinet was a gift to his lover and titled "Adam and Adam in the Garden of Eden".
The signed hand painted cabinet is decorated both inside and out in Faulkner's very recognizable take on the San Francisco Funk Art movement and the seminal 1960s works of Oyvind, Fahlstrom.
Julian created less than ten of these studio built pieces of furniture which he described in the following manner:
"I was interested in the idea of creating personal paradise pieces, with a lot of garden symbolism."
The cabinet is in excellent original condition. -
