An Art Deco Classical Silver Centerpiece with ornate grape and floral motif and original cut glass liner. During the early 20th Century no table, buffet or mantle was considered complete without a beautiful silver centerpiece to be filled with fruit or flowers. The metalwork was detailed and embellished and the glass bowls in unusual shapes , etched and removable.

This lovely piece has intricate repousee relief work with lush fruit and vine images and pierced Greek key borders and twisted classic columns. The maker’s mark is W&G, most likely British in origin circa 1920.
