Émile Louis Picault (French, 1833-1915) was a sculptor who specialized in bronze figural groups, statues and decorative objects. He began his artistic training at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and exhibited regularly at the Paris Salon from 1863 to 1909. Picault was known for his realistic portrayal of human figures and animals, often in historical or mythological scenes. He was a popular artist during his lifetime and his works are highly valued by collectors today.
