Mid-Century Modern Pendant with Etched Glass and Chrome Fittings by Kinkeldey

Description
This elegant Mid-Century Modern rectilinear pendant was produced circa 1950 by the renowned Austrian maker Kinkeldey. Each side features three glass panels (with a total of nine on the bottom) etched with an elaborate starburst pattern resembling an abstracted and illuminated woodcut print of the sun. The various panels are fastened together at the seams with chrome fittings. This is an exceptional example of Mid-Century Modernist design by one of the great lighting studios of the period- exquisitely crafted, versatile, and stunning. It has been newly rewired to American standards and are in excellent condition. The height can be adjusted to suit. The chandelier accommodates four Edison based sockets providing up to 400 watts of light.
