Description
Yoshino is in the Nara Prefecture, an area famous for these small and tame deer native to Japan. Meiji period (1868 - 1912), Shijo School painting of a family of deer in a forest of autumn maple trees. Ink and mineral pigments on mulberry paper with gold dust, silver leaf clouds, and a silk brocade border.
