Mahogany octagonal table with bronzed metal griffins
English, 20th Century
Height 79cm, diameter 116cm
The octagonal top of this table, of solid mahogany, sits above an octagonal frieze, decorated with rosettes, which in turn is supported by four bronzed metal seated griffins. The griffins sit upon a solid mahogany octagonal plinth base. The design of the base is after an example by the Regency period English furniture maker, George Bullock. -
