French 19th Century Fruitwood Louis Philippe Style Buffet
-
Description
A delightful Louis Philippe fruitwood buffet, made in France circa 1870. This wonderful antique buffet is teeming with Provincial charm. The solid antique fruitwood is beautifully toned and has been used to make beautiful, moulded trim that surrounds the doors. Two drawers, with shaped fronts, extend the width of the piece, with newer hardware that allow for easy access. Two panel doors close before an interior compartment that has been outfitted with a single fixed drawer. The doors are hung on hidden hinges and contain working locks surrounded by carved wood escutcheons. Shaped bracket feet lift the antique case piece.
