Description
Dimensions: 75 ½” H x 71” W x 6 ⅜” D
A spectacular Louis XVI style 19th century trumeau in a refreshing mint-green painted finish over carved and giltwood boiserie paneling. This trumeau is of impressive scale, becoming part of the architecture of any room–not simply a mirror but a doorway through time and place. The mirror plate is flanked by raised, paneled pilasters to the sides, decorated with spruce green rosettes accented by gold centers. Above the mirror, the festooned decoration uses the classic laurel leaf design, a wreath, and gilded ribbon to express Neoclassical symbolism with the romantic opulence of the Louis XVI taste. Note the mirror glass is a modern replacement, offering a clear reflection. Please view the detailed images to see more. -
