Description
Poul Kjærholm’s very first dining chair – was designed in 1955 and marked the beginning of an impressive career. In the original condition. A PK1 side chair designed by Poul Kjaerholm for E Kold Christensen, Denmark 1955. Poul Kaerholm's first dining chair, PK1, is a light and elegant chair that marked the start of a long and impressive career. The PK1 is an early example of Kjaerholm's unique ability to combine steel with organic materials. The design has an understated look that requires skilled craftsmanship and an in-depth understanding of the inherent nature of the materials. The chair has the original and fine crafted wicker seat which is in good condition with only small damage on one point. The steel frame shows some wear due to age and use. This gorgeous small chair would look lovely as a side chair in any modern design home.
