This stunning pendent light was designed by Lino Tagliapietra and made in Venice in 1970 by La Murrina. The technique is called "filigrana" and requires to use multicolor glass rods to form a globe.
Lino Tagliapietra is one of the most important glass designers and artists in the World today. He has over 70 years of experience in the art of creation and inventing many new ideas and techniques.
Since 1990 he has worked as an independent artist, producing works without contractual obligation. You can see his work in the most prestigious museums around the World, including the The Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York), The Victoria and Albert Museum of London, as well as numerous galleries and private collections. -
