Rare French Mid-century table lamp or desk lamp in black enameled perforated metal by Mathieu Matégot.
The piece has a unique sculptural form composed of series of non-linear angles and is constructed in perforated metal allowing transparency of light. The piece is finished with a round brass ball finial on its apex. And, Baghdad was a very early precursor to sculptural form in Post-modern and De-constructivist Architecture.
