Japanese Floor Screen Shoji Paper Natural Elements Elmwood Fitted Frame 1960

A Japanese three panel folding floor screen framed in Japanese Elmwood each panel's frame holds a large single Washi paper sheet with natural inclusions from Japan created in the 50's/60s.
The brass hinges that hold the three panels together to form the screen give each panel a 360 degree rotation.
The inset panels are vintage Washi Shoji paper with Japanese maple leaves, butterflies, grass and clover embedded into the paper.
Washi Shoji paper with natural inclusions has been out of production since the 1990s according to a major shoji paper dealer who opened his business in the 1970s.
I have placed a sheet of similar sized Cloud Dragon translucent 2 mm. paper over the original paper sheets to protect them from UV damage and accidental abrasions..
The protective sheets are easily removed and the screen may thus be shown in its original state.
The frames are ingeniously designed with precisely crafted pieces that fit together held by wooden pins and brass screws which makes for easy disassembly. The frame is very strong.
Each panel's frame is fastened together with only a brass screw in each corner of each panel.
There are no adhesives involved in its construction.
