    Westinghouse Air Brakes promotional ashtray from the 1930's. The winged Robot design was used as a theme to promote the Air Brake system invented by George Westinghouse in 1872 for trains, manufactured by Westinghouse. This ashtray is made from silver & bronze plated metal. It is a very stylish object in near mint condition showing a little wear to the plating on the head of the Robot . It can be used as a "vide poche" French for "empty pockets" a place to leave your cufflinks, keys or loose change.
