Description
From the New York City shop of Joseph Meeks in the early second quarter of the 19th century: a rare long ottoman foot stool, made for use in front of a settee or a fireplace. On an tiered crotch mahogany veneered base; slip seated boxed upholstery of a special pad-top ottoman design. Original wooden box frame and sanitized horsehair. The brass casters even appear to be original as made.
