From the South of France made during the reign of Louis XV, an elaborately hand-carved oak tall case clock. Eight day time and strike movement, with a pleasant soft tone. Keeps accurate time. Specimen 'sarcophagus' case.

Five decades of antiques collecting experience in a succession of Historic Register homes in Virginia, New York, and Connecticut; and a 1901 beaux arts building on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Open Thursday through Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and on Tuesday and Wednesday by appointment.
