Antique Baroque Style Glass and Gilt Bronze Lantern
French, 19th Century
Height 82cm, diameter 44cm
Designed in the ornate Baroque style, this beautiful lantern is crafted from gilt bronze and glass. It features five sides, with each pane of glass housed in an ormolu frame. The frame is decorated with Pegasus-style mounts to the upper section, scrolled brackets, and draped chains. It is suspended from a scrolled bracket that connects to each corner of the lantern. -
