Japanese style English porcelain ewer by Royal Worcester

This beautiful ewer is by the celebrated English porcelain makers Royal Worcester. The ewer is of traditional form, the body crafted from ivory coloured porcelain adorned with a series of surface indentations in the form of checkmarks. The ewer is painted in the Japanese style with vibrant floral bouquets, while the handle is coloured to imitate bronze. The ewer is parcel gilt on occasion, including the edge of the shaped lip and the borders of the circular foot. The underside is partially drilled and is marked for Royal Worcester.
