Large bronze figurative sculptural fountain by Canpiola

This impressive bronze fountain is finished with a beautiful green verdigris patination, which at times allows a glimpse of the lustrous bronze below, and at other times looks almost encrusted, as if the piece had been submerged beneath water for a prolonged period of time. The fountain is comprised of three cranes, two standing and one seated, all of which are naturalistically modelled and rendered. The cranes perch on an integral bronze base, which is signed ‘T. Canpiola’.
