Edward Troye (1808–1874), Kentucky. Oil on canvas, 31" x 38¾", in the original 38" x 35¾" gold leaf frame.

Foaled in 1861 by Lexington out of Magnolia. Painted as a fit six year old in 1867 winning 21 of 22 starts.
