Description
The Tidal Reach Desk, as pictured, has a 10' long, solid 1.25" thick quarter sawn white oak top. The blackened base is also quarter sawn white oak; its distinctive arching leg structures are finely joined to the two horizontal beams with haunched mortise and tenon joinery including an offset detail at the horizontal juncture with the beams. The two connected parallel beams notch over the drawer case and taper before terminating just shy of the other cantilevered end. The case holds three drawers including one central file drawer; they are activated by touch latch mechanisms. The case has a finished "back" encouraging the positioning of this sculptural desk so it can be viewed -and used- from/at all sides.
