Description
This distinctive, sculptural table has a pedestal base comprised of curved, black lacquered supports joined to walnut feet and upper support rails. The top of this particular version is 1/2' thick porcelain.

The blackened supports of the base are formed from bent maple laminations and are joined to a central walnut disc. At the top and bottom of the supports hand sculpted "gussets" are joined providing both rigidity and a gorgeous reverse curve to the simple curve of the main support. Detail images show the beauty of the light reflecting from the curved , beveled edges of the gussets. A black lacquered steel post passes through the center of the feet, the central disc and the top support and is welded to an "X" recessed into both the top walnut support and walnut feet, at the floor.

This table could be recreated in other woods and finish combinations. The price listed includes a wooden top; other material options, including the porcelain top will need to be quoted. Please contact me to discuss and order.
