Description
Beautiful reclining lounge chair and ottoman designed by Ib Kofod-Larsen for Selig freshly upholstered in hand sewn rich Oatmeal / Ivory Shearling. An early Mid Century Scandinavian Modern design hailing from 1950s Sweden, this Ib Kofod-Larsen chair is in excellent original condition with no structural repairs or alterations. Scandinavian Modern furniture is iconic for its seamless merger of quality, style and function. Built to last generations with its solid walnut frame and legs, this Ib Kofod-Larsen reclining chair and ottoman features a cozy thick seat cushion and a curved seat back with both lumbar and cervical spine support. That studied ergonomic seat back design - coupled with mirroring angled arm rests - work together and produce a sitting experience that's anatomically aligned and comfortable. The chair seems to naturally place you where it wants you. Matching original ottoman. Newly professionally upholstered. We chose a luxurious oatmeal cream shearling. The color is warm and inviting and contrasts well the rich walnut grain. The hides are very durable and easier to clean than fabric. Even the piping is shearling. 10s all the way. A truly sophisticated and timeless look that's functional and built extremely well. An ideal choice for reading, watching your favorite movie, or just taking the weight off after a long day with your favorite glass of wine.
