Description
Large 1950s Stilnovo brass and glass pendant. A quintessentially 1950s Italian design executed in matte finish opaline glass and brass with a custom modified architectural ceiling canopy for mounting over a standard American J-box. A highly functional light sculpture of attractive scale and incomparable refinement.
Pendant measures approximately 6 inches in diameter x 22 inches in height. Retains original manufacturer's yellow label.
Stilnovo was one of the most innovative lighting design companies in Italy during the midcentury era. Their designs have been long sought after by collectors in the know.

Professionally rewired for single e26 medium base 100 watt max LED bulb (lower with incandescent); custom period styled canopy added for compatibility with US electrical J-box. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee. Contact us to facilitate. Some scuffs, dings, bends, losses and patina as largely shown and noted only for accuracy. -
