Modernist Brass Flush Mount with Handblown Murano Gold & Translucent Glass Discs

This handblown Murano chandelier is composed of an abundance of overlapping translucent Murano discs with 24kt yellow gold flecks attached to a polished brass base. The disks are connected to the base by brass rods, whose ends gently protrude through the center of each disk. The fixture was meticulously blown by hand in Murano- the fabled Venetian island renowned for centuries for producing glass of the highest quality. With its austere silhouette and ebullient refined palate, this piece would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. The fixture accommodates six Edison bulbs, providing up to 600 watts of light. It has been newly rewired and is in excellent condition.
