    Alvino Bagni bull, ceramic, orange, red, yellow and brown, signed. Medium scale chunky bull sculpture glazed in bold orange red with splashes of dark yellow and brown. Signed with impressed mark (Italy) on its right front hoof.

    Alvino Bagni (1919-2000) was an elite ceramist and contemporary of Aldo Londi (Head Designer at Bitossi) and Guido Gambone. Bagni worked under Londi, in the early part of his career, before opening Bagni Ceramiche in 1956 in Lastra a Signa - Florence, Italy. Bagni Ceramiche supplied both the European and North American markets until his retirement in 1992.
