Pia Manu Sculptural Marble Coffee Table - 1990's
-
Description
Belgian post-modern marble sculptural coffee table created by Pia Manu in the 1990s. A sculptural design featuring four cylindrical steel legs and a marble asymmetric tabletop, interrupted by two steel lines. The geometric shape of this tabletop is divided into two different textures, one flat and one rough surface, as shown in the photos. At the widest points, this coffee table measures W 140 cm, D 70 cm, and H 32,5 cm. The marble shows beautiful veins with subtle tones of grey, green and blue. It’s a true eye-catcher, in very good original condition.
Pia Manu is a workshop from Ingelmunster, Belgium. Here, amongst others, Jules Dewaele and his son Koen Dewaele designed several design pieces during the 1960s. Pia Manu is still working along similar lines, with natural materials such as stone and travertine combined with ceramics.
