Streamlined End Tables/Night Stands in Burled Walnut with Silvered Pulls

This stunning pair of Art Deco Machine Age nightstands were realized in France circa 1935. They feature streamlined bases with a banded detail in the center- all in lustrous black lacquer. The center offers a streamlined rectangular form floating on top of a rectilinear front- all in burled walnut, showcasing a stunning natural woodgrain- with black lacquer streamlined sides. The front of each is adorned with a silvered cubist pull with vertical striations in relief. Each of the nightstands open to reveal a drawer, as well as a shelf creating myriad storage possibilities. With its iconic Art Deco materials (and forms) this piece is sure to delight discerning collectors of first rate Art Deco design as well as those with a penchant for rare and exquisite objects. They have been newly restored to mint condition.
