Joanna began her career decorating sets for major motion pictures, where she learned the importance of individual objects and how to tell a story with an interior. After 15+ years of designing for private clients, she opened Joanna Frank Design Shop to showcase her eclectic taste. “I really hope to bring the world of collectible design to people who want to look at something beautiful, something that inspires daily – living with interesting objects is a source of joy I want to share.” Here you can find the most sought-after Finnish lighting, vintage upholstery recovered in wild textiles, artist collaborations & the coolest ashtrays ever made; each piece reflecting Joanna’s style and vast knowledge of historic & contemporary design.

Joanna Frank is a graduate of the University of Illinois, attended the Northern Media School of Sheffield Hallam University (UK) and began her career decorating sets for major motion pictures. After working for an award-winning architect, she launched her own company, made the Luxe Magazine "Gold List" of interior designers, and left Chicago for New York City to pursue the art of design to its fullest. After 15+ years of decorating & continuing her education in historic & contemporary design, she opened Joanna Frank Design Shop on New York’s vibrant Lower East Side.
