Description
Robust, firm, and well-proportioned are the characteristics of this beautiful French coffee table in the style of brutalism from the 1960s. The blond oak has acquired a wonderful patina over the years. The top consists of three coarse parts that are finished all around with a small facet edge. Its corners are also rounded and the flame drawing of the oak can be seen on the sides of the wood. Because the top does not consist of one entire piece, the seams create a beautiful relief and a pleasant color shade. Four square legs form a strong base on which the top rests. They are positioned just slightly outwards resulting in perfect stability. The legs also have a coarser finish and form a pleasant contrast with the rest of the table. Between the legs and the top is another profile of which the top and the legs are attached to each other by means of steel bolts. The condition is very good and has been updated by our restorer with respect to the patina and appearance. This coffee table lends itself well to a variety of interior styles. And whether it concerns a loft, country house, or a more industrial setting, this item will be a characteristic addition without claiming all the attention.
