    Extremely rare & important tapered leg end table made by William Watting in the 1940s. Top with two handles, ends with pull-out leaves with removable brass ashtrays. Fantastic nutwood grain, and the detailing is just perfect - from the radius edges to the dark stained "shoes," this is a fine example of the impeccable craftsmanship and unique forms he is known for worldwide.

    William Watting was an American-born architect who moved to Denmark after WWII to further his career in woodworking and design and also worked for Fristho in the fifties & sixties. His forms are often playful and unique, and his woodworking is simply fantastic.
