Amazing Mid Century Brutalist "Spider” lamp, Italy circa 1950’s
These spider lights were originally crafted with 9 iron legs, they were typically made with the extra leg to ward off any superstition for the home owner
The large sized spider is hand forged from wrought iron with a milk glass body
The glass shade is attached with 3 small screws to the sides. Under the shade is a single standard bayonet lamp holder
The flex is approx 2m in length, this come from the face as if a string of silk being used to make the web
There’s a small circular ring on the leg for wall hanging or it could be placed as a table lamp.
